16th January, 2025, Hotel Everly, Putrajaya: Mr. Mac Ngan Boon (MEMA Chairman), Mr. Andy Ng Chin Leh (MEMA Vice Chairman), Datin Lorela Chia (Vice President 1 of Machinery & Engineering Industry Federation MEIF), Ms. Carol Ong (Hon. Secretary, MEIF), Mr. Mr. Tiong Khe Hock (MEIF Committee Member), and Mr. Chan Chee Tatt (MEIF Committee Member) attended the Engagement Session on the Thirteenth Malaysia Plan 2026-2030 (RMK13) by the Ministry of Economy in Collaboration with Industry Players (Pharmaceuticals & Chemicals, Digital, Machinery & Equipment, and Agrofood)

Mr. Andy brought to the attention of the Minister of Economy several pressing challenges facing the industry, including the heavy reliance on imported machinery, domestic direct investment, and intense competition from neighboring countries.
